Owing to inadequate staff within the Secretariat, the audit of the 8th Helean accounts has been divided between two officers, both of whom have in the past been to some extent financial officers. The proposal which has now been put to Gov: (see para 225 of 200 minutes here) is to group the offices of audit and accounts, and to appoint one of the Officers ... to do the auditing. We have not yet received views on this suggestion.
